Childhood ADHD can appear in various ways, making it difficult to recognise. Our specialised assessment aims to identify even the most subtle symptoms and difficulties. By doing so, we ensure an accurate diagnosis, which forms the basis for a personalised treatment plan for the child's specific needs.
Managing the challenges of childhood ADHD can feel overwhelming, but our assessment provides clear, valuable insights into how ADHD manifests in a child's daily life. With this knowledge, families can make informed choices and apply strategies to support their child's well-being.
At Diverse Diagnostics, we offer comprehensive treatment plans for children with ADHD. Covering medication, therapy, and guidance, we emphasise our commitment to providing holistic services. By highlighting these integrated options, we ensure individuals grasp the thorough support we offer, enabling them to move forward confidently.
Led by a Consultant Psychiatrist, this process follows the same diagnostic assessment as the NHS. At our clinic, we offer a comprehensive and personalised assessment process for children undergoing ADHD evaluation and tailored treatment recommendations.
Here's an outline of our assessment process:
1. Initial Assessment with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Our process begins with an initial assessment led by one of our skilled child and adolescent psychiatrists. This session provides an opportunity for you and your child to share concerns and experiences, while also establishing a rapport. This phase also incorporates a mental health screening.
2. Developmental History with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
The developmental history phase involves a detailed exploration led by our child and adolescent psychiatrist. By delving into your child's developmental journey, we attain a holistic perspective that informs the evaluation.
3. Formal ADHD Screening Questionnaires and School Reports
Following the initial assessment, formal ADHD screening questionnaires and the collection of school reports takes place. Results are disseminated to appropriate professionals who play a role in your child's evaluation.
This step enhances the scope of information gathered to aid in the assessment process.
4. Diagnostic Feedback Session with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
After the assessment process, you will be invited to a final feedback session. During this session, you will receive an in-depth report summarising findings and diagnostic outcomes. Our child and adolescent psychiatrist will discuss the results with you, addressing any queries or concerns, and offering tailored treatment recommendations that align with your child's unique requirements.
When we diagnose a patient after a private assessment for ADHD, we will provide a detailed report and advise the family on the next steps and treatment options available to them.
